Wedding party entrance videos are becoming more popular. At a typical wedding, the DJ announces the wedding party as they enter the reception. This typically happens in one of two fashions, 1) the DJ gets on the mic and says something to the effect of “Ladies and gentlemen, I present your wedding party” and then the bridal party enters, or 2) the DJ gets on the mic and says something to the effect of “Ladies and gentlemen, I present your wedding party” and then announces the names of each person as they enter. Either way, it’s a bunch of lame once you’ve been to a wedding that has a wedding party entrance video. And this is usually the best you get, even if you don’t have a crappy DJ.
Here is a video that Columbus Wedding Videography owner, Robert Vance, created for his own 2010 Columbus, Ohio wedding at the City of Dublin‘s Coffman Park and reception at the Dublin Community Hall. The video features photos of each member of the wedding party with the bride and groom and is set to music chosen for that individual. As the wedding party entered, his DJ announced each person over the video and music.
This is a cost-effective, fun way to add energy to your wedding party’s grand entrance and sets the tone for the remainder of the reception.
